Frequently Asked Questions
What are a host family’s main responsibilities?
Host families provide a private bedroom, daily meals (breakfast, packed lunch, dinner), basic household guidance and a supportive environment during the trainee’s stay.
Do we need to transport the trainee?
No daily transport is required. Trainees use public transport, which we explain to them during orientation. Families may help on the first day if possible, but it is not mandatory.
How long do trainees stay?
Placements vary from 2 weeks to several months, depending on the programme.
Can we host more than one trainee?
Yes, if you have the space and they each have their own bed. CTI will always match trainees thoughtfully.
What happens if a problem arises?
Our support team is available daily. We will assist with communication, problem-solving, and — if necessary — relocation.
What if we’ve never hosted before?
No worries! New host families receive full guidance, clear expectations and support throughout the entire stay
